| Biographies can be voluminous tomes, or short and sweet. This is my life--in 100
words or less.
I grew up in Virginia, moving to California where I attended the University of California at Berkeley.
(Go Bears!) Upon graduation, I stayed in California, making the San Francisco Bay Area my home base
while I worked as a flight attendant for an international airline. What fun that was, flying to different
places all over the world. On most trips, I had lay-overs lasting a day or two--enough time to see some
of the major local sights and shops--and then on to the next country!
When my flying days ended, I began to work from nine to five. But in my spare time, I decided to
give into a long cherished desire to try my hand at writing. One of the first things I discovered was that
writing was one thing but earning a living at it was something different. Writing is slow when you have other
things like real life interferring. But I finally finished a book and Harlequin liked it enough to buy it!
Come into the Sun was the first of over four dozen books I've sold.
A new dream arose--write for a living and leave the hectic pace of the Bay Area behind. Once my younger
daughter graduated from highschool, I did just that--quitting my "day job" and moving to the Sierra Nevada
mountains of California. It's been wonderful! I love every minute of living here!
Sometimes people ask me which is my favorite book. I'm at a loss to answer immediately. Every one is
special to me in some way. But usually my favorite is the one I'm currently working on.
Oops, I need to call this my life in 300 words or less! |
