Happy New Year! I wish you all the best for 2008! Thanks for dropping by. Now that the holidays are behind me, I have to buckle down and get to work. I have a book due the end of the month and while I'm more than half way finished, I like to have a couple of weeks to polish once the final draft is complete. It's a fun book--she wants one thing, he wants another and falling in love just doesn't fit in with their plans.

So what else is new? If you got my last newsletter, and checked out my website, you probably viewed the trailer for The Boss's Little Miracle. I hoped you liked it. Now I've done two more for my two books that will be published in February. The first one I did was Rescued by the Sheikh. I actually think the books come out at the same time, but I wrote them in this order, so did the trailers in the same order.

Rescued by the Sheikh is about an American photographer working on an archeological dig in Arabia. She is injured and rescued by a stranger. One thing leads to another and she discovers the man is a sheikh. Nothing can develop between them. She has her life in the States, and he is still in love with his dead wife. In the meantime, she's falling in love and wishing for a miracle. Who wouldn't with the romance of Arabia as a back drop, and a gorgeous sheikh to boot!

Also being released in February is my latest cowboy story, Caitlin's Cowboy. It's set in Wyoming, one of my favorite places. We have visited the state many times and I always say I want to move there. My husband cautions me that we should spend a winter there before deciding. Oops, we've only visited in spring and summer. Still, lucky Caitlin, she inherits a cattle ranch worth a mint. And then falls for a broken down cowboy who wants no ties. Such is life. Only you know what happens next, don't you?

So I hope you'll click on the News button above and check out the trailers to get a feel for the stories. Drop me a line to let me know how you like them.

Now it's back to the work in progress. Happy New Year again!

RE: Lies That Bind missing paragraphs. To err is human... even for mighty Harlequin.

At last, I have joined the ranks of authors who have sections missing from the final copy of their books! If you are reading the book and wonder about the missing section, it's small, and quoted in the Excerpts page in its entirety.

Change of address: Please note, due to increasing numbers of spam mail every day, I now use a yahoo address. You can reach me at: barbaramcmahon at yahoo.com. The contact page also has the link. I'm in hopes the yahoo.com spam filter will take care of all that pesky spam clutter.
